By now you have no doubt heard about the governments Stage 2 restrictions that mean house parties are banned as a result of the increasing spread of COVID-19. Unfortunately we are not immune to this outcome and are beyond devastated that we can no longer deliver the beautiful parties we had scheduled over the coming months.
What I can say is that all parties scheduled for March and April have now been rescheduled to later in the year. All parties scheduled for May and June are now on a 'watch and wait' pending further advice from the government over the coming days and weeks. I will communicate separately with affected clients accordingly to make decisions about parties scheduled for May / June in due course.
On a positive note, we are now seeing an emerging trend in the '+6 months' party - ie instead of celebrating a 1st birthday, we will now be celebrating '1.5 year birthdays' or if it is a 4th birthday (as is in the case of my daughter) - she will now be celebrating a '4.5 year birthday' later in the year.
I do want to assure all of our existing clients that we are committed to prioritising your parties and working with you to reschedule to the latter half of the year when it is anticipated (at this stage) that we will start to come out the other side of the coronavirus.
In the meantime, we are open for business and are very much looking forward to the continuation of the fun and excitement that comes from planning a special event for your family. We are taking bookings right now for 2021 with very limited availability from September 2020 through to December 2020.

Choosing your venue is an important consideration mainly due to the intricate and elaborate set up of our event spaces. They really are truly special, and something we pride ourselves on creating just for you.
Whilst we do on occasion service outdoor areas, we have found that too often environmental factors (such as the wind and hot sun) play havoc with the party decorations and food items (picture melted chocolate in the lolly jars and paper plates, napkins and party bags flying off the tables).
To help with choosing the option that is best for your children’s party; we have put together a few helpful hints and tips.
When choosing Pop the Balloon! to create your ideal party space, we highly recommend opting for an indoor space as a first option. If partying at home is not possible, there are many council operated community halls in your local area that provide fantastic access for your guests. They are clean, safe and come with all the essential facilities to ensure your party experience is the best it can be. They often hire out hourly and can be as little as $30* per hour. If considering an outdoor option for your children’s party, keep in mind that the wind and hot sun will have an impact on the success of your event, not to mention rain! The best outdoor options are in a protected area – away from the wind in particular – so that the effort that goes into creating your unique party space will still be there, ready and waiting for your guests to arrive. It also ensures that the party setting looks just as breathtaking as when we first set it up.
Pop the Balloon! Children’s Parties and Events do have marquee’s for hire which can provide basic protection from mild weather if your preferred outdoor location does not provide this. Feel welcome to ask for this option at the time of booking.
Community parks and public spaces can be a great alternative to partying at home, however as mentioned, it’s worth keeping in mind the challenges that come with them.
Public spaces are also worth a special mention, particularly with the more popular parks as there are no guarantees that your preferred ‘spot’ will be available. Often your preferred area is the same as everyone else’s!
Some tips for partying in public parks include:

Throughout her busy career, Rochelle has coordinated and delivered a number of events from budget dinners to conferences, gala dinners, workshops and road shows to name a few. It is the professionalism and sophistication demanded in these fast paced environments that enables her to bring your special event to life with minimal effort on your part.
Complimenting her corporate life was her creative and artistic endeavours as a dancer and dance teacher who was privileged to work with some of the best entertainment organisations in the business. In our adult life, many of us experience working in organisations that focus heavily on team building, leadership and mentoring skills. Significant amounts of research and financial investment has gone into proving the value of utilising these activities to meet organisational objectives.

Exclusive to our school vacation care programs, PTB have designed a number of age appropriate team building activities aimed at assisting children to learn more about themselves and each other. It is our view that the more children discover about themselves, the more likely they are to engage positively with each other both within the vacation care, and broader school environments.
The games and activities are designed with ‘fun’ as the foremost priority. They encourage the children to come together and work collaboratively to problem solve and overcome various challenges to meet the objectives of the game.

My twins Alice and Ava were the luckiest little 3 year olds in the world on Saturday when they celebrated their birthday with the absolutely magical Butterfly Ball Party we won through Facebook. All of the children had an absolute ball which was evident through their squeals of delight and laughter during their entire party. Rochelle's attention to detail was immaculate from the hanging ribbons, to the little butterflies hidden throughout and the adorable plates and cups. To add to the experience Rochelle kept the children entertained with endless games, butterfly hunt, art and even prizes. They were also lucky enough to have an enormous number 3 made out of balloons thanks to Chanelle which added to the magic. I can't thank you enough for creating such a memorable and magical experience for our little girls. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!!! Thank you again Rochelle.
